Island of Riems, August 28th, 2024: How do climate change and urbanization or the health and management of wildlife affect our health? How can we work at the wildlife-livestok-human interface in the sense of One Health to create healthy ecosystems overall? These and other questions are on the agenda of the 15th European Conference on Wildlife Diseases from September 9th to 13th, 2024 in Stralsund and Greifswald - Insel Riems. The 300 seats at the hybrid conference were booked out quickly, but online participation is still possible. The conference language is English. This year's conference of the European Association for Wildlife Diseases is being organized by the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut with the participation of the German Oceanographic Museum Foundation, Stralsund.
In addition to top-class keynote speeches, including one by Keith Hamilton (World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) Paris/France), Dolores Gavier-Widén (Swedish Veterinary Agency, Uppsala/Sweden) and Ursula Siebert (University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover Foundation, Hannover/Germany), the specialist event offers exciting presentations on various topics, a wide range of workshops and plenty of opportunities for exchange and networking. In addition, a German-language panel discussion will take place at the Ozeaneum in Stralsund on September 12th as part of the conference.
Journalists are cordially invited to take a look at the conference's varied program for exciting topics and to submit requests for interviews if they are interested. The entire program is available online on the conference website.
