  • continuous evaluation of feed ingredients (e.g. emerging & alternative protein sources [insects, algae, DDGS], technological treatments, feed additives…) & nutrient requirements of non-ruminants
  • strategies for reducing release of harmful substances into the environment, e.g. ammonia, phosphorus
  • mycotoxins in feed à toxico-kinetic studies, impact on animal health & physiology
  • impact of nutrition on immunology à immune challenge as experimental model (innate + adaptive immune system)
  • strategies for reduction of antibiotics in poultry rearing
